Sufficient levels of vitamin D are necessary for good health and support the body in multiple ways. In fact, there is research noting that those who are genetically predisposed to vitamin D deficiency were 25% more likely to die from any cause. Vitamin D is safe and inexpensive and has been linked to supporting immune health for decades.

Early on in the pandemic, many reputable doctors were recommending supplementing with vitamin D3. At that time there were a number of anecdotal testimonies declaring it’s efficacy in reducing the severity of illness, hospitalization, and death. As early as June 2020 there were at least 14 observational studies showing that that vitamin D was improving COVID-19 outcomes. Recently, more and more research has come to light proving those doctors were right. One study said ” To put it another way, the results suggest “a definitive association between the protective role of vitamin D and ICU hospitalization.” The study goes on to state that vitamin D supplementation cut the risk of dying from COVID-19 by 51% and reduced risk of admission to the intensive care unit (ICU) by 72%. Take a look at the study here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9864223/

Even the NIH cites a study saying ” The findings of this study show that vitamin D supplementation is effective in reducing the COVID-19 severity. Hence, vitamin D should be recommended as an adjuvant therapy for COVID-19.” See the study here: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35166850/

Another study done in Israel shows that “People with sufficient vitamin D are 20% less likely to die from COVID-19”. See the article explaining the study here: https://healthpolicy-watch.news/vitamin-d-covid-death/

While I was working in a COVID unit with critically ill patients, I did my best to advocate for the prescribing of vitamin D for my patients. I was laughed at on more than one occasion. “There are no peer reviewed studies proving it’s efficacy”, was a typical response from a doctor. (Same as I was laughed at for suggesting the virus came from a lab and for fighting against early intubation) Yet they were willing to dole out copious amounts of toxic remdesivir, which has been shown to be ineffective and with dangerous side effects. (They’re still using that garbage today as they continue to suppress alternatives like ivermectin and budesonide) I worked with one doctor who did prescribe small doses of vitamin D, but would not fulfill the request for larger doses. I can’t deny that when a patient is critically ill with COVID and in an intensive care unit, it might be too late for any vitamin or medicine to have a positive effect, but there is no reason not to try a safe and inexpensive alternative.

What I found extremely bizarre is that my health insurance company stopped paying for vitamin D testing sometime in early 2020. It almost seems as though they didn’t want people to know their vitamin D levels. Let me get this straight: they’re unwilling to pay for a $200 test, but they’re willing to pay for several $1000 bags of remdesivir? Was restricting vitamin D testing just another spoke in the wheel for the planners of this scamdemic? After all, another study said “As a widely available, inexpensive, and safe treatment, vitamin D3 could be a helpful tool for reducing the spread of COVID-19 infection and related mortality…in COVID-19 outcomes. Our findings are especially relevant to the US population, given that about half of Americans are estimated to have sub-optimal vitamin D serum levels.” Check it out here. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-022-24053-4#Sec19

I take vitamin D every day during the fall, winter, and spring. Since vitamin D is more bio-available when produced via sun exposure to the skin, I try to get as much as I can from natural sunlight in the summer months. Dr. Joseph Mercola explains it like this, “It is important to note that vitamin D obtained through sensible sun exposure is likely superior to oral supplementation. This may be related to other red and near-infrared light frequencies that could provide a therapeutic effect through photobiomodulation mechanisms that could elicit beneficial physiological effects such as increases in nitric oxide.”

You can also get some vitamin D from foods and here are some examples.
